91st SCGA AMATEUR NET CHAMPIONSHIP
QUALIFYING INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
Before participating, participants should review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
FORMAT:
- All players will participate in an 18-hole, net stroke-play qualifier.
- 156 players will advance to the 91st SCGA Amateur Net Championship at Soboba Springs GC on April 17 - 18, 2025.
- Flight Breakdown (Players are flighted based on their Handicap Index as of March 3):
- Arroyo Flight: 7.0 & below
- Mission Flight: 7.1 – 10.2
- Pacific Flight: 10.3 – 14.4
- San Andreas Flight: 14.5 & above
- During the qualifier, players will play to their Handicap Index as of Monday, March 3, and will receive 95% of their Course Handicap (unless otherwise noted by the SCGA).
- The Committee will make the final number of qualifying spots at each site available on the day of play.
- All ties at the qualifier will be broken using the USGA-suggested method of matching scorecards (Committee Procedures: Section 5A (6)).
STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS:
- Starting times and pairings will be emailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week before the qualifier.
- There will not be a player registration process on the morning of the qualifier.
- Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive once the preceding group has teed off. Players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 9:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 9:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late.
DRIVING RANGE:
The driving range at each site will be available one hour before the first starting time unless otherwise noted in the qualifying site-specific information. Complimentary range balls will be provided to all participants.
QUALIFYING SITE-SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Los Robles Greens, Thousand Oaks (Monday, March 10):
- Practice Rounds: To schedule a practice round, visit losroblesgreens.com. Standard rates apply.
- Tee Markers: Men in the Arroyo and Mission Flights will play from the BLACK tee markers. Men in the Pacific and San Andreas Flights will play from the BLUE tee markers. Women in all flights will play from the RED tee markers. Click here for hole-by-hole yardages.
- StrackaLine Booklet: The SCGA and StrackaLine have teamed up to allow our participants the availability to purchase StrackaLine Yardage & Green booklets at a 20% discount. Click here to purchase your StrackaLine booklet. All booklets conform to the Rules of Golf and may be used in tournament play.
- Food Service & Purchases: The Oaks Bar and Grille will be open at 6 a.m. until the end of play. The snack bar between Holes #8 and #12 will also be open during play, along with a beverage cart around the course. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for all purchases.
- Due to a construction project on Hole #9, this will be a 17-hole qualifier. Hole #9 will not be played.
RULES OF PLAY
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R&A govern play.
- Local Rules and Terms of the Competition can be found on the SCGA Hard Card and the Notice to Players that will be distributed onsite.

GOLF CARTS & PULL/PUSH CARTS:
- Golf carts are optional at the player’s expense.
- There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
- Pull or push carts are permitted.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
- Players may provide their own caddie (see section on golf carts).
- Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility.
- Please see site-specific qualifying information for any restrictions on caddies and/or spectators.
DRESS CODE:
Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any club-specific policies.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:
- To withdraw for any reason before the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
- Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
- Refund Policy:
- Cancelation before the entry closing date: Full refund less a $20 administrative fee.
- Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours before the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
- Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
